FSL’s Team Bonding Retreat in Enchanting Bali

FSL (Find Satoshi Lab) is a company that combines Web 2 and Web 3 technologies to offer a multifaceted lifestyle of fitness gaming, finance and social interaction. They have created a community-based platform. FSL, which has a global team of professionals, wanted to organize a Team Retreat to both align on company visions and strengthen team bonds.

FSL’s Head of People wanted to organize this Retreat to bring together the team working remotely from all over the world to strengthen their connections, capture team spirit and team bonding. FSL aimed to get together to agree on the vision of the company, to work on it and to have fun together and get to know each other better.

To accomplish this goal, a balanced Retreat with a light work session and then some fun team activities where the team can bond and get to know each other better was an ideal Retreat setting for FSL.

How Did Midstay Organize This?

FSL’s Head of People had previously arranged their own Retreats by herself and it was exhausting and stressful, so she chose Midstay to take care of all the details. Our specialists created a tailor-made, end-to-end Team Retreat that was in line with FSL’s objectives, so that FSL’s entire team could enjoy the moment in a stress-free way.

Our Retreat experts took care of the end-to-end planning and organization:

It was very important for us to meet FSL’s needs and provide a special Retreat experience for them. Thanks to our team of professionals and our strong networks, we ensured that this Retreat was seamless and unforgettable.

We created a stress-free environment so that they could focus on what was really important: team engagement and bonding.

Choosing Bali: An Enchanting Island

With its breathtaking nature and spiritual energy, Bali offers a peaceful, nature-infused space for team Retreats. It was a unique choice for team activities, relaxation and work sessions to suit FSL’s special needs.

Staying at the Prama Sanur Beach Hotel, right on the seafront, the team had the chance to experience traditional Balinese style combined with luxurious modern comfort.

Why this hotel worked perfectly:

  • Beachfront location.
  • Two outdoor swimming pools.
  • Delicious on-site dining options.
  • Meeting facilities.
  • Fitness center.
  • Breathtaking landscape.

What FSL’s Team Retreat Looked Like?

We have designed an unforgettable Retreat for FSL’s specific needs, with light work sessions during the day, fun ice breaking activities, but not forgetting the relaxation time.

Here’s what the Retreat looked like:

Day 1: Arrivals, ice-breaking activities and welcome sunset cocktails

On the first Retreat day of the team, after arriving at the airport, the team was transported to the hotel by shuttles. After a warm welcome and welcome swings, relaxing time was started for the team to relieve road fatigue and to mingle and chat with each other.

After the participants relaxed, Ice-breaker activities started. Friendly competitions were organized so that team members could get to know each other better. At the end of the fun activities, a welcome cocktail was served with a stunning sunset view, followed by a welcome dinner with delicious food at Griya Santrian hotel’s restaurant.

Day 2: Morning walk, internal work session, cooking class

To make the most of their second day at the Retreat, the FSL team started the day early with a morning beach walk through Bali’s breathtaking nature. This made the team start the day feeling cheerful and energized. When they moved on to the internal work session, there was a fresh and relaxed effect on the participants due to the morning walk.

There was a coffee break between the internal work session. After the work session was completed, they had a lunch break with the delicious food of the Prama Hotel and had pleasant conversations.

After a working session and a nice meal, a relaxing time allowed the participants to chat while enjoying of the hotel’s facilities.

As part of their off-site experience, the team participated in a hands-on Cooking Class designed to spark creativity, collaboration and connection. Participants worked in small groups to prepare meals. They were accompanied by a professional chef. Thanks to these solidarity meals, an organic bond was established between the participants. while having fun, team bonds were strengthened and employee engagement was achieved. At the end of the Cooking Class, they ate this meal they had prepared together. The meal turned into a moment of celebration of the result of their joint efforts and a special sharing. This event was more than just a memory that the participants had a lot of fun. It also encouraged participants to feel a sense of trust, communication and sharing, which are essential components of a team.

Day 3: Internal work session, Beach Olympic, Gala dinner

The activities they have been involved in since the start of the Team Retreat made a visible difference between the participants on the third day of the Retreat. Participants laughed more and interacted with each other more during the third day’s work session.

After a productive work session, participants were taken to Beach Olympic to let off steam. Games such as beach volleyball, water relay, and leaking pipe were used to improve participants’ problem solving skills. Competitions where they had to work as a team built their strength and confidence in each other. At the end of the day, with their morale and motivation boosted and unforgettable fun memories made, the participants headed to Puri Santrian Hotel for the Gala Dinner.

The gala dinner was accompanied by the songs the participants sang together and laughter. The gifts prepared by our team for FSL employees to leave a memory added joy to the atmosphere.

Day 4: GWK & Uluwatu tour and Kecak dance performance

After a productive work session, participants were taken on a full day tour of Bali, where they witnessed the breathtaking landscapes and experienced the traditional life of Bali.

Participants experienced both the fascinating beauty of nature and cultural depth on this unique tour of Bali. The journey began with an impressive view of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) statue. The tour continued with the mystical ambiance and the magnificent beauty of Uluwatu Temple. Participants had the opportunity to experience the traditional way of life, architecture and culture of Bali and share a unique experience with their teammates. The experience was crowned with an authentic cultural performance such as the Kecak Dance.

After a wonderful dinner at Jendela Restaurant, they headed back to their hotel.

Day 5: Time to say goodbye

The breakfast was full of joy and pleasant conversation and the participants were safely transported to the airport.
