Their Philippines team works remotely and therefore needed a way to strengthen bonds and align on company goals. A tailored team retreat was the perfect tool for this!
Between January 14 and January 17, 2025, Intrinsic Digital brought their Philippine team members together for a team bonding experience in Boracay, Philippines. It was a 4 day and 3 nights experience where they got the opportunity to connect and align with the CEO.
Strengthening Bonds and Building Trust
As a company with a global workforce, Intrinsic Digital sought to overcome the challenges of remote work and different cultures by increasing trust and creating improved connections within their team. By blending an internal work session with team-bonding activities, the retreat aimed to:

- Align the team with company goals and the CEO’s vision.
Boracay was the ultimate destination
Boracay’s white sands, clear waters, and vibrant atmosphere, in combination with being easily accessible, made it the ideal location for this team retreat. Diniview Villa Resort was the chosen facility for the event, which is located in between Diniwid Beach and White Beach. It added to the atmosphere with amenities like an on-site restaurant, pool, and private access to the beach, which perfectly matched the goals of combining relaxation, connection, and productivity.

A blend of work sessions and activities
The agenda was set up to meet Intrinsic’s desires of combining an internal, productive, session with team bonding activities.
Day 1: January 14, 2025
Morning: Group 1 arrived at Caticlan Airport and was warmly welcomed before heading to Mayas Restaurant for a first lunch. This provided an opportunity for the team to settle into the atmosphere and get to know each other.
Afternoon: Group 1 checked into the villa, where they were greeted with their personalized welcome swag and could enjoy individual relaxation time exploring the hotel’s facilities. Later in the day, Group 2 arrived at Caticlan Airport and followed a similar schedule, including lunch at Mayas Restaurant, check-in, receiving personal swag and getting time to unwind.
Evening: The day concluded with engaging icebreaker activities that are designed to foster a comfortable and open environment for communication. The team then gathered for sunset cocktails and a welcome dinner at Seawind Restaurant, setting a ground for the upcoming retreat experience.
Day 2: January 15, 2025
Morning: The day began with a team breakfast at the villa, energizing the team members for an Amazing Race activity held on the villa’s beach. This is an engaging team-building exercise encouraging collaboration, trust, and communication among team members through various games.
Afternoon: After freshening up, the group enjoyed a team lunch at Dini Beach Bar & Resto. The afternoon featured a business workshop with an external speaker, group activities, and a presentation from the CEO, aligning the team with the company’s strategic goals.
Evening: The day ended with a group dinner at Patio Pacific, offering a relaxed environment to reflect on the day’s achievements and encourage further connections.
Day 3: January 16, 2025
Morning: The morning started with a tranquil sunrise beach walk followed by breakfast at the villa. The team then embarked on an exciting island-hopping tour, exploring Boracay’s nearby islands.
Afternoon: A lunch stop at Hunter’s Hideout provided an opportunity to relax and recharge before continuing the island-hopping adventure. The team got to enjoy snorkeling, swimming, and taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Evening: Returning to the villa, the group had some leisure time before dressing up for a glamorous gala dinner at Estacio Uno Restaurant. The dinner had a black-and-gold dress code which made the evening even more fun and memorable.
Day 4: January 17, 2025
Morning: On the final day, both groups departed early in the morning for Caticlan Airport, concluding the retreat and leaving participants with new memories and strengthened bonds.
