Handprint is a global company with 30 team members spread across 7 countries.

They recognize the importance of team bonding and cooperation in achieving their annual planning goals. However, they faced the challenge of bringing their team together, which prompted them to seek a partner that could help them organize a team retreat that included a blend of learning, working, and team building activities.

That’s where Midstay stepped in and helped Handprint organize an exceptional team retreat in Bali that proved to be a resounding success.

The Itinerary

Upon their arrival in Bali, Handprint’s team was greeted by our team and transferred to their villa.

We carefully selected a villa with a beautiful view of the rice fields and equipped it with all the necessary facilities to ensure a comfortable and productive stay.

After settling in, the team was treated to a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where they got to know each other and set the tone for the retreat.

Day 1: Annual Review and Goal Setting

The first full day of the retreat began with a morning yoga or meditation session followed by breakfast at the villa.
Then, the team dove into a full-day group workshop to review the previous year’s performance, set goals for the upcoming year, and improve team dynamics. Midstay designed this session to be both informative and interactive, with various exercises and activities to engage the team.

After lunch at a healthy restaurant, the team had some free time to explore the surrounding area or relax at the villa.

In the evening, they enjoyed sunset cocktails and dinner at a beachfront restaurant.

Day 2: Cultural Excursion and Internal Workshop

On the second day of the retreat, the team visited a local temple or cultural site to learn more about Balinese culture and history.

They then returned to the villa for breakfast before diving into a half-day group workshop to continue the annual planning and team bonding process.

After lunch at a seafood restaurant, the team had some free time to explore or relax. In the evening, they had dinner at a local restaurant with traditional Balinese cuisine.

Day 3: External Business Workshop and Cooking Class

The third day started with a morning surf lesson or paddleboarding session followed by breakfast at a local cafe. After that, the team attended an external business workshop with a facilitator to further refine their annual plan and build stronger team relationships.

After lunch at a beach club restaurant, the team participated in a cooking class to learn some Balinese culinary skills. In the evening, they enjoyed sunset cocktails and dinner at a rooftop bar with stunning views of the city.

Day 4: Nature Activity and Final Workshop

The final full day of the retreat began with a morning hike to a nearby waterfall or trekking activity to explore Bali‘s natural beauty.

The team then returned to the villa for breakfast before diving into a half-day internal workshop to finalize the annual plan.

After lunch at a live music restaurant, the team had some free time to explore or relax. In the evening, they enjoyed a farewell dinner at the villa with a Balinese dance performance.

Day 5: Departure Day

Final Meditation and Check-Out

On the last day of the retreat, the team had a final morning yoga or meditation session at the villa before having breakfast and checking out.

Our team then transferred them to Ngurah Rai International Airport for their departure.

Increased Productivity and Engagement

The team retreat in Bali resulted in a significant increase in productivity and engagement of the Handprint team members.

In fact, their productivity and engagement increased by 2.5x, and their employee turnover was reduced by 1.5x.

Moreover, their career page got 5x more views, which was attributed to the communication of their great company culture.
