“Midstay gets things done for you. From A to Z, you will have no worries. You should just go with them.”
– Catherine, Chief of Staff at Food Industry Asia
Food Industry Asia is a non-profit association within the food and beverage industry in Asia Pacific. They have a diverse team, and to improve personal connections and effective work in the upcoming years, FIA wanted an in-person retreat where the team members got an opportunity to connect and align with the company’s goals.

Between January 14 and January 17, 2025, we helped bringing FIA’s team together in Jimbaran, Bali, to connect in an impactful team retreat. For 4 days, the team got to strengthen bonds, improve communication, and unite. The retreat focused on team-building activities and meaningful connections to ensure the diverse group would collaborate more effectively in the future.
Improving bonds and open communication
FIA’s team consists of a mix of younger professionals working on complex issues across the Asia Pacific region. The retreat was crafted for them to encourage open communication, improve engagement, and foster a sense of unity. We designed a retreat for FIA that blended engaging activities, relaxation, and cultural experiences, ensuring that the team left with stronger relationships and belonging in the company.
FIA’s Successful Retreat
By taking care of all logistics and ensuring the activities aligned with the company’s goals, FIA saved over 70 hours of planning and preparation for this offsite event. From organizing transportation and selecting the right venue to arranging engaging team-building activities and a well-planned schedule, we could ensure that they focused on connecting as a team and achieving their objectives.
Jimbaran Was The Right Destination For Connection And Tranquility
Jimbaran, Bali, was picked for FIA’s retreat due to its calm surroundings and vibrant culture. This is a coastal location that provides a mix of relaxation and inspiration, which gave FIA the right environment to reach their goals and connect within the team.
The group stayed at the InterContinental Bali Resort which is a five-star beachfront venue that combines a modern design with traditional Balinese architecture. It has top amenities that contribute to a serene environment for any team to bond and relax.
